Too many ideas... A hidden "geode"

I kind of wanted to use this post as a place to help me come up with concepts.

The “geode": The main idea is having a sort of cubby. (Housed in a sort of rock formation. It would be cool if I could split a big enough rock in half, but I think I may have to do a paper mashay type thing and use paint.

Here are a few different pictures of segments of an “installation” in my desk cubby area that could possibly be added into a sort of “rock cubby” . I make a new one every year adding as I go along. And some of these things could be used separately as well I find interesting.

It would be cool to make it interactive. For this I had two ideas:

One is including my tree location as a place to hang out with books in the trees and around to help add context to things inside. (Could even include a hammock. I have one) (So you can hang out around the installation as well as looking at it.) Ex. rock identification book.  (I had a new idea for a location with a tree and by the water along the fox river trail. I do need to go and scout it out yet….) Or by plantz....

The second is a sort of activity to complete or something to take from it. Someone mentioned a geocache type thing last time, so this definitely isn't an original idea but it would be cool to put something like a little sheet of people folded in a fun way that says sign me on the inside. I actually made a paper envelope a while back and was thinking of putting that in here. Maybe even including writing prompts in it too…. Relating to reflection or the nature around the installation.

Or could fill the "rock" with a display of rocks I already have and
have collected. Could document on a sheet on the interior wall
were I found each rock and on what trip and what type of rock it is.

Or  adding some sort of mechanical element inside or outside. I think it would be cool to include a key to unlock the “rock” somehow. Or a hammer to open it. The rock should be among and near other rocks. So its a hidden surprise.
